Isabel Wong is an independent luxury womenswear designer established in London and currently based in Yorkshire. Her designs are defined by simplicity, contemporary and creative cutting and the ability to translate conceptualism into wearability. Innovation and sustainability is key within the research and development of her designs - she has a keen fascination in experimentation & manipulation of materials and textures while retaining a minimal and wearable aesthetic. Isabel believes that design is not necessarily determined by season or trends but rather focuses on timeless quality investment pieces that will adorn the wearer for years to come. She has an eye for detail and is a perfectionist from design to the finished product. With a true passion and understanding for pattern cutting and craftsmanship, almost every piece is meticulously produced in house where she continues to hone her skills to offer high quality limited ready-to-wear, bespoke and exclusive collections.

Our Story

Isabel Wong trained in fashion design at Edinburgh College of Art. Between studying, she interned for Gareth Pugh as a studio assistant in both London and Paris and as an assistant pattern cutter for Giles. She was involved with the Alfa Romeo MiTo Car launch in collaboration with Harris Tweed – designing a coat for the press launch and subsequently showcased at the Harris Tweed fashion show in New York, April 2009. She later designed a trench coat sponsored by and in collaboration with Mackintosh which was featured at the Mackintosh flagship store opening in Mayfair London and offered for retail on bespoke order. Isabel Wong showcased her Spring/Summer 2011 graduate collection at London Graduate Fashion Week, sponsored by River Island, and was nominated for the Innovation Award.

Following her experiences within the fashion industry and the success of her collaborations, she has gone on to be published in Vogue, Grazia and Company magazines to name but a few. Her hard working ethos sees her driven to keep on designing and making these designs available internationally.
